Conservation
When I collect samples from rivers and lakes, I frequently find a lack of plant vegetation along coastlines due to anthropogenic construction such as embankments and the spread of a few non-endemic plant species. Therefore, many species which were originally widespread in river mouths and along coastlines are facing extinction. To conserve these species, I am studying genetic diversities, gene flows, genetic structures and SSR managing units of endangered plants living on the coastal area of estuaries and rivers using genetic markers such as microsatellite markers.
